Description

We have found that the cell yield of oligodendrocyte precursor cells (OPCs) are higher in 31.5 than in 37 not by suppression of apoptosis but by enhancement of proliferation.

Publication Title

Dietary intake of antioxidant curcumin reduces eIF2 phosphorylation and diacylglycerol and glycerolipid contents in white adipose tissue of obese mice
  • organism-icon Mus musculus
  • sample-icon 15 Downloadable Samples
  • Technology Badge Icon

Description

To elucidate the bioactive property of the dietary antioxidant curcumin, we examined tissue distribution and the gene expression- and lipidomic-profiles in epididymal white adipose tissue (eWAT) of the diet-induced obese mice. Dietary intake of curcumin (0.1% W/W) didnt affect the eWAT weight and the plasma lipid levels but reduced the levels of lipid peroxidation marker in eWAT. Curcumin was a slightly accumulated in eWAT and altered the gene expression associated with eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 (EIF2) signaling. Curcumin suppressed the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress-related eIF2 phospholyration, the accumulation of macrophages and the expression of oxidative stress-sensitive transcription factor NF-B p65 and leptin, whereas anti-inflammatory effect wasnt enough to reduce the TNF- and IFN- levels. Lipidomic- and gene expression analysis suggests that curcumin reduced the contents of some diacylglyverols (DAGs) and DAG derived glycerophospholipids by suppressing the expressions of lipogenesis-related glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase 1 and lipolysis-related adipose triglyceride lipase.

Dietary Intake of Curcumin Improves eIF2 Signaling and Reduces Lipid Levels in the White Adipose Tissue of Obese Mice.

Gene expressions of memory B cells and other type of B cells
  • organism-icon Mus musculus
  • sample-icon 24 Downloadable Samples
  • Technology Badge Icon

Description

To obtain insight into the genetic basis of the increase of functional activity of memory B cells over time, we compared the gene expression profiles of day 7 and day 40 NP-specific/IgG1 memory B cells, GC B cells and plasma cells in immunized WT mice and nave B cells, before and after activation in vitro.

Conditional deletion of Bcl6 in naive B cells
  • organism-icon Mus musculus
  • sample-icon 12 Downloadable Samples
  • Technology Badge Icon

Description

Bcl6 germline deletion causes a prominent inflammatory disease, owing to over-expression of Th2 cytokines, and affects the properties of B cells prior to immunization. Therefore we established the B cell-specific Bcl6 deletion mice and analyze the gene expression of naive B cells under physiological conditions.

AC61 Vector vs. pRb
  • organism-icon Mus musculus
  • sample-icon 2 Downloadable Samples
  • Technology Badge Icon

Description

This experiment is to identify genes that are regulated by pRb in AC61 cells. AC61 cells were derived from a C-cell adenocarcinoma developed in an Rb+/-N-ras-/- mouse.

Publication Title

Rb Regulates DNA damage response and cellular senescence through E2F-dependent suppression of N-ras isoprenylation.

Expression data from cells located at the invasive front and in the tumor mass of mouse cervical squamous cell carcinomas
  • organism-icon Mus musculus
  • sample-icon 12 Downloadable Samples
  • Technology Badge Icon

Description

Cells located at the invasive front and in the tumor mass of mouse cervical squamous cell carcinomas were isolated by laser microdissection from hematoxylin-stained HPV/E2 sections. 7 months old HPV/E2 mice treated with oestrogen develop invasive cervical squamous cell carcinomas. This model recapitulates human invasive cervical neoplasias.

miR-140 deficiency effect on the chondrocytes
  • organism-icon Mus musculus
  • sample-icon 2 Downloadable Samples
  • Technology Badge Icon

Description

Analysis of mouse chondrocytes lacking the microRNA-140. MicroRNAs are genomically encoded small RNAs to regulate the gene expression. miR-140 shows high expression in cartilage. Results provide insight into the molecular mechanisms underlying miR-140 function in chondrocytes.

Publication Title

MicroRNA-140 plays dual roles in both cartilage development and homeostasis.
